[from our own correspondents.] • «- I DUNEDIN. LAND ON DEFERRED PAYMENT. August 1. The Waste Lands Board to-day decided to throw open for s. lection on defered payments 52 sections in Ohaura and 4G sections in Chatton district, on September sth. Seven sections in Ohaura to be sold as special value land, at 30s per per acre, with improvements added. The total acreage is 21,600. By the City Council adopting the new Municipal Act, Mr. Leary will have to oiler himself for re-election in November. Mr. Reeves goes to Wellington to attend the Municipal Conference. There is a fierce contest in South Ward, with the object of keeping Mr. Fish out of the City Conned.
