The Union Steamship Company's p.s. Samson, Captain Jones, sailed for Dunedin at 6.30 last night, with a quantity of cargo and a number of passengers. The topsail schooner Maggie Paterson, Captain Paterson, sailed for the Bluff at a late hour last evening with 20 tons cargo. The Oamaru and Dunedin Steamship Company's s.s. Waitaki, Captain Edie, arrived from Dunedin at 1 p.m. to-day, with 30 tons cargo and 15 passengers. She leaves aga-n on her return trip at the usual hour to-morrow. The ketch Defiance, Captain Burk, arrived from Dunedin this morning with a cargo of timber consigned to C. Galbraith and Co.
