THE MERA BROKEN UP. July 10. The Tvlera, at Hokianga, has broken -.- and the cargo is washing ashore.
Vi:e three-masied scliooner Fairlie lias put back. Ai'ier starting for Grahamstown', she struck on a reef at Waikehe Passage, and remained fast twelve hours. A private inquiry took place before the Collector of Customs to-day, and a survey was ordered.
Specifications of repairs wanted for the steamer Go-ahead show that the keel and garboard and third streaks are damaged. The contract is expected to be about LI6OO.
