GERMANY.
Prince Louis of Hesse has succeeded to the throne of the Grand Duchy of Lleasc, under the title of Louis 4tli. At Berlin, on June 10th, a serious int pression was caused by articles ia (In National, discussing the crisis in France, and declaring that an Ultramuiitaiu regime, which alone could succeed the Republic, is irreconcilable with European peace. These articles are said to reflect the views of the Government. A Catholic church at Witchen, in th* Grand Duchy of Posen, was struck li; lightning during Sunday service. Six persons were killed, and 70 seriously itjured.
