CONFIRMATION OF REPORTED RUSSIAN VICTORIES.
FALL IN PRICE OF WHEAT,
On yesterday's cable news, dated Singapore, June 30, being repeated from Sydney, it was found that the following items were left out:—"The Russians have occupied Sistova.—Thirty thousand Russians have crossed the Danube. Sydney, July 2. A special of the Herald, dated London, June 28th, confirmed the news that the Turks have abandoned Dobrudscha. The Archduke Nicholas, at the head of the fourteenth division and eighth army corps, crossed the Danube at Sunnitza, a nd carried the first position of the Turks.
Singapore, July 2, 10.52. The Batoum war news is substantially confirmed.
A Russian despatch states that the Russians carried an advanced entrenchment at Zivin.
The price of wheat has fallen, owing to large foreign imports.
DIRECT AUSTRALIAN NEWS.
Sydney, July 2. The Tararua brings the captain and crew of the steamer Bettie, from Newcastle to Tasmania, which was wrecked on a rock at Murray's Paw. The Bettie was coal laden, and now lies in five fathoms.
