Fore-and-aft Schooner Richard and Mary. Ketches—Alpha, Palmerston. ♦ The Union Steamship Company's p.s. Samson, Captain Jones, arrived from Dunedin at 3.40 p.m. yesterday. She had on board 30 tons cargo and ten passengers. The topsail schooner Pelican, Caj>t:-in Campbell, arrived from Hokitika at an e.irlv hour yesterday morning. She brings a full of timber for her owner, Mr. H. Aitken.

The ketch Palmerston, Captain Brebner, arrived from Dunedin at an early hour yesterday morning. She brings IG.OUOft. timber consigned to Gaibraith and Co., besides 72 casks cement for the Harbour Board.

The ketch Jessie, Captain Lyders, sailed, for Catlin's River at 10 a.m. yesterday with original cargo from Dunedin. The topsail schooner Dunedin. Captain Stuart, ar-rivfd from Wellington this morning with 20 tons coal for Hail our Board. The ketch Al[ha, Captain Welch, arrived from Dunedin this morning with a cargo of cement consigned to the Harbour Board. The s.s. Waitaki is due here at 1 p.m. tomorrow.
