AUCTIONEERS' REPORT. Messrs. Connell and Clowes report that they sold by auction, on Saturday, the following properties : —Part of Section 3, Block IV., Oamaru Town, next the Empire Hotel (at present occupied by Mr. F. J arle), with a frontage of 2t> feet 6 inches to Thamesstreet, by a depth of 100 feet, after a spirited competition, to Mr. A. Paterson for LI4OO, equal to over LI2,1)00 an acre. Also, leasehold of lo'O acres in Papakaio district (.Sections 65, o'G, b'7, Block IV.), to Mr. James Gibson, at a rental of 14s 6d per acre, i hey also report that they held a sale of groceries, etc., in the afternoon, on the premises lately occupied by Mr. W. H. Dan-ey. There was a good attendance throughout, and satisfactory prices were realised.
