A SEAMAN DROWNED. June 18. Sailed : Margaret Galbraith, ship, for London, with a cargo of wool, wheat, anu tallow, valued at L 16,000. The ketch Clematis -irrived from 'Kokitika yesterday morning. One of her men (James Moore) was carried overboard, and drowned, the staysail hawser parting. Moore was making fast the bowline at the time. A north-west gale was blowing, and the vessel could not get round in time to pick the man up.
