OTEPOPO ROAD BOARD.
A meeting of this Board was held on Friday, June Ist. Present : Messrs. Anderson (chairman), Henderson (treasurer), Morton, Mitchell, Marshall, M'Donald, Ross, Russell, and Watson. On the motion of Mr. Marshall, seconded by Mr. M'Donald, the minutes of last meeting were adopted as read. A letter from the Kakanui Road Board was read, asking the opinion of that Board about a proposed alteration of road in Block VIII., Oamaru District. It was ■unanimously resolved not to assent to the proposal, and to oppose it fit the proper time if any attempt be made to carry it out. The Clerk was instructed to consult Dr. Smith about the annual return to the Central Board of Health, and then to forward it. Re General Road Board law, Mr. M'Donald moved that a sub-committee, consisting of Messrs. Anderson, Henderson, Ross, Newlands, and the mover, be appointed to draw up a report. Gd. ; Thomas Flaherty, L 153 Bs. Gd. Mr. Mouton moved that the lowist tenders for contracts 4D, 53, ;:nd 54 be accepted, and tha f fivsh t:-n.l- is be invited for contract 52a ; seconded by Mr. Mitchell. Mr. Hendei:son moved that the Engineer be instructed to prepare plans for culverts on the road at Mr. Wa'soiTs, and behind Mr. Ross' gums, Mr. Watson in point out what is required : s.funded by Mr. Morton.
