POST OFFICE NOTICE.

On and after Juno 1, Mails will Close— For Dunedin and intermediate offices, daily, at (j a. m. For Pukeuri and Waitaki, daily, at 9 a.m. For Waimate, Tiniaru, Christchurch, and North Island," daily, at 9 a.m. and 2.45 p.m. For Papakaio and Duntroon, daily, at 2.45 p.m. For Awamoko, on Tuesday and Thursday at 2.45 p.m. For Maerewhenua, Upper Ferry, and Oamarama, on Tuesday, at 2.45 p.m. For Weston and Teaneraki, daily, at 2.30 p.m. For Dunedin and South, per p.s. Samson, on Monday and Thursday, at 5 p.m. ; and per s.s. Waitaki, on Wednesday and Saturday, at 10 a.m. A supplementary British mail, via Christchurch and San Francisco, will close at this office at 9 a.m. on Friday, Ist June. British and other mails, via Suez and Brindisi, will close at this office on Saturday, 2nd June, at 6 a.m. Letters may be registered during- the ordinary office hours, and for despatch by any mail, one hour before the closing of such mail.
