THE WHARF CONTRACT.
Wellington, May 29,
The City Council to-day, after a long discussion re the Wharf tenders, resolved that the tender of Mr. Kirdy, Wellington, be accepted. They also resolved to give three months' notice to the Engineer and some other officials, and advertise for an Engineer, at a salary of LSOO.
