Bluff, May 20,

The s.s. Arawata arrived this afternoon. She left Melbourne on the 21st. Fine weather prevailed until the 23rd, when a south-easter came on, increasing to a heavy gale, with a high sea, which continued until sighting land this morning. She brings 31 saloon, and 20 steerage passengers, and 255 tons of cargo, for all ports. She sails for Dunedin at 5 p.m. Passengers for Lyttelton—Mr. and Mrs. Howisson and family, six steerage, and 57 tons cargo.
