Wellington, May 18.

As rumours have been in circulation that the Government was going to despatch a vessel specially to bring up the passengers and wool by the Ocean Mail from Chatham Islands, ib is understood that this will not be the case. .Ritchie and Co., who purchased the wreck, have two vessels there at present, and there is every probability that these will start as soon as ever they are loaded.
