CONSTABULARY PAY.

A General Government Gazette announces that the Governor-in-Council has fixed the following schedules as to pay and travelling allowances of the Armed Con. stabulary : Sergeant-Majors, 10s. 9d. ; sergeants, Ist class, 9s. Gd. ; 2nd class, 95.; 3rd class, Ss. Gd. ; constables, Ist class Bs. ; 2nd class, 7s. Gd. ; 3rd class, 7s. ; detectives, Ist class, 12s. ; 2nd class, lis.; 3rd class, 10s. Non-commissioned officers and constables i2i the reserve divisions to receive Is. per diem less than the above rates. The travelling allowance of noncommissioned officers and constables is fixed at Gs. per diem.
