WRECK OF THE WILLIAM GIFFORD.

Mr. Sumpter has kindly placed the following telegram from the master of the William Gifford afc our disposal :—" The 3hip is on shore one mile from Tois-Tois ; all hands saved. The ship was blown away from Dunedin, and ran for the Bluff. The crew were kept at the pumps night and day. Obliged to run her on shore, as she was sinking, having lift. Tin. of water in her hold. She became unmanageable, and WGuld not steer. She is not likely to break up at present."
