♦ The amount of revenue collected at the Custom-house, Dunedin, on Friday, was £960168. 3d. LONDON WOOL SALES. Messrs. Cargills, Gibbs, and Co., Dunedin, have received the following message from Messrs. Helmuth, Schwaitze, and Co., dated London, Bth May:—" The sales opened with a large attendance of both home and foreign buyers. Competition is animated ; but prices for fleece, washed, and scoured wools show an average decline of ljd. to 2d per lb., and greasy of Id. per lb., oa closing rates of last sales."
