AUCTIONEER'S REPORT. Mr. A. H. Maode report? thab he held a sal* on Jlenday, at Mr. W. Wylie's farm, Mabeao, of farm stock, implements, &c. Then was i Very large attendance, and the triddinggeneraliy was spirited, especially for the cows, which were of remarkably good quality. He qnotes cows and heifers, extra Duality, recently calved, Ll3 2s. 6<L to .17 r IOs; cows to calve in two or three months, of good quality, L 7 10a to Lll 2a<d. Good working bollocks, L 8 7s per headY yearling heifers and steers, L2 to 13 17s 6d; calves, LI 6a to LI 10s. Well bred tows in pig, L2 19s to L 3 is each ; Berkshire boar, L2 Is ; 17 store pigs, 29s to 30b per head. Draught stock—l two-year-aid colt by Hero was knocked down, after a brisk competition, at L2l; two-year-old filly, L 23 15s ; yearling colt, Ll7 ; yearling fillies, L 8 10s to Ll2 10s ; useful to superior draught mares and gelding, L 46 to L 53. A few hacks and light harness horses were sold at from LlO to Lll. The implements fetched satisfactory prices.' 10 cwt. onions, at IJ4 .per .lb.—Yesterday, at his stores, Oamara, he held, a sale of freehold and leasehold sections in town. There was a good attendance, but of all the lots submitted only two found buyers, owing to the difference of opinion as to value between vendors and purchasers. The lease of Municipal section 11, block L., about 19 years to run, with four-roomed house and improvements, subject to a" mortgage to the Building Society equal to LlO3 10s, sold for L 96 ; the lease of section 5, block XVHI., subject to a Sound rent of L 8 12s per annum, sold for 57 10s. DUNEDIN COMMERCIAL. The amount of revenue collected at the Custom-house, Dunedin, on Monday, was £2,144 13s. Bd. MELBOURNE GRAIN MARKETS. The Melbourne Arffus of the 30th Apiii reports :—Breadstnffs show increased firmness, and more inquiry has been experienced, which it is likely will yet lead to busine-s. FlouVnas been s.«ld at Ll4 17s 6d, ami even 1.15 has been realised by holders who were yesterday content to accept 2$ 6d less. Wheat is firm, and full quotations of Ks lOd and 6s IOJd can be raised for any parcels •f prime placed on the market for sale. Feeding grains are very quiet, and limited to supplying actual wants Only a very saoderate trade is reported ; quotations con tinue to range from 3s 3d to 33 7<L Maize la going off for trade purposes at 4s 4d to 4s 3d.
