DISTRICT COURT.

THIS DAY. (Before his Honor District Jadgs Ward. ) CIVIL SITTING. MILLAR V. HAY AND BARK. This was a claim for L 162 15s. 2d. Mr. O'Meagher appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr. Hislop for the defendants. On the application of Mr. O'Meagher, the case was adjourned until the next sitting of the Coui't. IN BANKRUPTCY. IN EE JAMES M'GUIXNESS. In this case Mr. Hislop applied for the bankrupt's discharge. The bankrupt was placed in the box, and stated that he had handed over the whole of his property to his creditors. In granting the order of discharge applied for, his spoke strongly of the lack of duty displayed by the creditors in not appealing at the Court. By so doing they had placed him (the learned Judge) in an unpleasant position. IN EE JOHN LOCKS. In this case Mr. O'Meagher appeared for the bankrupt, and applied for his discharge. The necessary resolution in favour of the discharge of bankrupt having been passed by the creditors, the order applied for was granted. IN ItE ROBERT BOTTING. This case was adjourned until the next sitting of the Court, on the application of Mr. Hislop, owing to the absence of bankrupt from town.

PROBATE. Be George Anderson, of Oamaru, bootmaker, deceased.—Probate was granted, on the application of Mr. Hislop,to the deceased, Eliza Anderson, accounts to be filed within six andjtwelve months. He Geouge Stewart, of Teaneraki, fanner, deceased, intestate. Letters of ministration were granted, on the application of Mr. Hislop, to the widow of the deceased, Catherine Stewart.
