OAMARU BATHS COMPANY.

A meeting of the Provisional Directors >f the Baths Company -was held yesterday iffcernoon at the offices of the Secretary. L'here were present:—Messrs. Gibbs (in j ie cliair), Hisiop, Taylor, Familton, M'lntosh. Martin, Harcly (secretary), and Glass. AirNUTES. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. PLANS. The plans as prepared by Mr. M'Leod, the Municipal Engineer were laid on the t a ble ; also a memorandum of particulars and probable cost. After consideration, it was decided to adopt the plans, with the following modifications The bath, to be in one, of the area of lO by 40 feet, and to range in depth from 2i't. 6in. at one end to Bft. 6in. at the othei - . THE SITE. Mr. Familton proposed, and Mr. M'lntosh seconded, "That the bath be constructed on the shingle flat, immediately I below the Esplanade." ! Mr. Taylor moved, as an amendment,- " That the plans be adopted ill their entirety, and that application be made to the Corporation for leave to construct the work on the Esplanade." Mr. llislop seconded the amendment, which was carried. ' Mr. Hisiop proposed, " That in the case of the Council refusing us consent to the site nn'.y resolved upon, the En-fineey be asked to prepare a plan a - id estimate of cost for constructing the works on the site already granted by the Council, and that he be reqnested to state his opinion on the merits ot' the two sites." The motion was seconded by Mr. 'Martin and carried. The meeting then adjourned.
