AT THE FORBURY.
[FROM OUR. OWN" CORRESPONDENTS.] Dunedin, March 19.
A busy morning was spent at the Forbury. Guy Fawkes, Danebury, and Hippo were the iirst on the course. After a little jrentle exercise, Guy and Danebury started together in clothing outside the hurdles. Hippo then stripped, and, joining in at a mile, the pace was made very hot f->r one round. Guy, who appeared carrying about 7st. 101b., drew gradually ahead of the colts, the latter sticking well together, but he was pulled up after going two miles. Hippo went nicely though he only did Derby distance. Elun King and Templeton stripped, doing a stead}- gallop twice round, the latter pulling hard all the way. Punga and Titania did a fast mile, the former shaping beautifully. King Phillip next did the Cup distance, being joined at the halfmile by Dead Heat. King went freer than usual, but sweatee! a gooel deal on pulling up. Fishhook only did a quiet canter. Gilligan's pair did a stiff two anel a quarter milts. Fallacy, which went twice round alone, seemeel laboured at first, but improved considerably at the second mile. Right Bower went once round the hurdles alone at a good pace, looking as fit as can be.
