DEPARTMENTAL CHANGES.
Wellington.
Nine officers of the Provincial Survey Department have been ordered to leave Wellington and proceed to other parts of the Colony. Mr. Henry Jackson, Chief Provincial Surveyor, has organised a sufficient staff after a great deal of trouble, and it is to be regretted that the corps are now to be disbanded. The other parts of the Colony may rest assured that they are getting the best men possible.
