THE MILLERS' COMPACT.
Mr. Richard Hudson writes a letter to the Guardian, stating that he gave the information concerning the noted millers compact to the reporter of that paper, and says he was asked to sign it, but that lie thought it better to settle the matter by fair and open competition. He did not wish to interfere in the issue, although he could not sign before giving the matter due consideration. He wished" the trade to see the nature of the men they were dealing with, and objected to the question being cut and dried bsfore it was referred to him. He says that, had he thought the authors would have been ashamed of the compact and circular, he would not have given copies of them to the reporter.
