RANGERS. It was resolved that the members of the Board be appointed rangers for their several districts, under the seal of the Board, with power to cause all stock trespassing on the road-lines to be impounded under the provisions of the Ordinance. FOOTBRIDGES. The matter of footbridges over the YVaiareka Creek and Big Hill Creek was referred to tiie Engineer for report. RAILWAY CROSSING. It was resolved to write to the Traffic Manager re a railway crossing at Teaneraki.
A report from the sub-Committee having been read, it was resolved that while the Board does not by any means approve of any interference with the Engineer's plans, seeing the contract has now been completed, and to avoid further complication in the matter, the road remain as now laid oil'. The action of the Board in the present instance not to be taken as a precedent. COST OF VALCATION. On the motion of Mr. Yocnu, seconded by Mr. Evans, it was resolved that, in the event of the County Council accepting the valuation, as now made for the Board, the County be requested to pay half cost. The valuation list was inspected by the members, and no objection made thereto. WATER RAIT. ACiIO.SS KOAD-MNK. Permission was accorded to Mr. Evans to take a water-race across the road-line near Teaneraki School. A'VOI'NT-i. Accounts amounting to £.'37G 10s. lOd. v.eiv passed f.,r payment, and the Board adjourned.
