A twelve-year-old boy jumped into the river at Roseburg, Oregon, to rescue a younger brother. He was swimming towards the shore with the little one, when the mother, who had' in her excitement gone too near the edge of the bank, slipped into the stream. He instantly let go his hold, and went to save his mother, and all three were drowned.
