The match Oamaru v. Duncdin comes off on Saturday, tlie 10th inst., on the Oval. The Committee have selected the following players to represent the O.C.C.: —F. Fenwick, J. Rice, 11. A. De Lautour, C. F. Tempest, (<. Zsicolls, (k Millington, J. Milliiigton, A. Y. Smith, It. Maude, E. Booth, G. Sumpter; and G. Fenwick twelfth man. The Duneilm team, by latest advice, will consist of—Aris, Bouch, Austin, Allen, W. Cargill, A. Cargill, W. Harris, Shepperd, Bol>in.son, M'lntyre, M'Donnell, and Coatcs. The Oamaru team, With two exceptions, is the same as played against Timaru. Two of them—Nicolls and G. Jlilliugton—■were selected to represent the Province against Canterbury, and although neither of them did very much in batting, yet they upheld the honor of the, town in tlie field, especially Mr. Millington, who bowled well and steadily all through the match. The tc:un itself is strong in batting and bowling, and the best that could ha\ e been chosen, at least we express our opinion thus boldly, as we have not tlie. fear of a certain tall member before our eyes, who when not selected to play in a match woul.l, with many fierce oaths and modern instances, invite the public generally to tread on the tail of his coat. Fie is oil, however, to other scenes, and so we say and say, and confidently expect to rest the head unbroken to-nitrlit on one of Iseal and fc'ons' best mafctre?seo as usual. The Dunedin team, on •paper, seem weak in bowling, but should do something in batting. However, there is no saying what may or may not eventuate on ov.r notalo ii<lges, and should Millington be | on the spot they will perhaps uot run up a v-c-rv ia:ge acore. They have amongst their nrmbcr four Intel-provincial players, which, however, is not much of a clue, as none of them came oil liist-class against Canterbury. The wickets will be pitched at 10.30 f-harp. on Saturday. Mr. Rusbatch, of that ill:, in company with a roller, is now busily employed in reducing the ground to something like ur.iar, and should the day be fine, wo hope there will he a big turn out in honor of the occasion. The Oamaru team are requested to procure the club caps from Messrs. Hood and Sliennaii without delay. Both teams will lunch at Mr. Earle's, at
