TO STAND THIS SEASON, in the Oamaru District, and at Mr. Paterson's private residence, Oaraarn, the fashionably bred and very superior Thoroughbred Horse PEETOBE, By Panic (imported), out of Hester Grazebrook, by the Premier (imported), out of Miss Napier, by Delapre (imported), out of Airs. Roberts by Wanderer (imported); Panic by Alarm, out of Queen of Beauty by Melbourne, out of Birthday by Pantaloon, out of Honoria by Camel, &c., &c. Pertobe is a clark bay horse, seven years old, standing 15 hands 3 inches high, with great length, substance, and quality, and was one of the fastest horses that ever raced in Victoria. Hie fact that he has got Pantaloon blood in his veins is a great recommendation, for it is questionable if better flows in any animal's. The very best runners and the grandest specimens of the thoroughbred are descended from Pantaloon, whose blood cannot be excelled. The value of Pantaloon blood is undeniable, having furnished so many proofs not alone as to speed and staying, but also as a running strain, for although some others occasionally produce one or two first-class animals, still few can compete with that in question as to number. For high breeding, good true rac'ng action, honesty and gamenes3, with speed of remarkable brilliancy, Pertobe has no equal, and Thoroughbred Mares put to him should breed good racehorses. Terms, £5 55., payable at end of January, 1577 ; Grooms Fee, as., payable at first service. - Paddocks provided at 2s. 6d. per week; every care taken, but no responsibility. 637 TO TRAVEEL in the OAMARU and SURROUNDING DISTRICTS, the Imported Pure Clydesdale Horse YOUNG PRINCE OF WALES.
