A Californian paper says : — u There appears to be some anxiety about the continuance of dividends front the Bonanza mines. Ten days ago a correspondent informed us that he had his fears that California would not earn its dividend this, month, as one-third of the month had! then passed and the receipts were only 325,000 dollars. Two-thirds of the month, have now elapsed, and the bullion product, is 780,000 dollars. At this ratio, the total for the month will be 1,170,000 dollars, which will pay the dividend and cany 90,000 forward, the expenses being drawn, from surplus carried over from previous months. But the receipts are alwa larger in the last third of the month t in either the first or second dayand although it is quite possibleN&at September out-turn will be less than thatfor August, it will probably be sufficientto meet the expenses and pay the dividend on the 15th proximo. There have been some local interruptions to the hoisting of the usual quantity of ore, and. hence the diminished receipts this month.
