The Sydney Ereniwj Po-r! says respecting the l"ox Mystery : "At the trlo.-e of the performance the Wonderful Box Mystery was produced, and certainly baffled detection, although every opportunity consistent with fairness was afforded to all present. The mystery consists in this—An ornamented and perforated box about three feet long and two feet wide is brought on the stage, locked, then lashed with ropes ; it is then covered with a canvas c »ver. and sealed, the box placed under a canopy, the |>cr:'ormer then comes forward, and in a few minutes afterward.? the box is removed from the canopy, and upon it being opened the performer will be found comfortably reposing inside the box, without the rope* or covering being removed.
