MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
THIS DAY. [Before T. \Y. Pjckkr, Esq., R.M.] r-CKII'ATETIC CATTLE. Daniel Bonth, for allowing one horse to ba unattended in Severn-street, was mulcted in the sum of 10s. \Y. H. I'onaync was ordered to contribute 2s. (id. for the wandering propensities of a cow. his property. HAWKING V.ITUOt'T A LICEX.SE. Samuel Levy and Samuel Barnett, two hawkers, v.vre charged with a breach of the Town Ordinance, by hawking within the Municipal boundaries without having first obtained the necessary license. Both defendants pleaded ignorance of the law, bu> as they admitted they had followed tlis profession elsewhere for over three years, the plea carried no weight with the Bench, and they were ordered to disgorge 10s. each a3 a penalty, and to provide themselves with the necessary authority before again resuming business.
It is stated that the 2s ew Testament Revision Committee have struck out the last seven verses of the Gospel of Mark, t-'e authenticity of which has long been disputed.
