The very beat runners and the grandest specimen* of the thoroughbred are descended from Pantaloon, whose blood cannot be excelled. The value of Pantaloon blood is undeniable, having furnished so many proofs not alone as to speed aud staying, lint also as a running strain, for although some others occasionally produce one or two first-class animate, stdl few can compete with that in question as to number. For high breeding, good true racing action, honesty and gamene33, with speed of remarkable brilliancy, Pertobe has no equal, and Thoroughbred Marcs put to him should breed good racehorses.
