mail, td receive an answer to his despatch forwarded Home before the House met, asking the Imperial Government to interpose on behalf of Auckland. He expresses .himself confident an answer will be favorable. THE GOVERNMENT AND THE SUPERINTENDENT. The Government decline to reply to Mr. Macandrew's last telegram, beyond sendia<r a mere acknowledgment.
