' ■■■ John Hamilton was fined 10s. for allowing four horses to stray within the limits of the town ; Orland Oldham, ss. for ten horses ; and D. Urquhart 2s. 6d. for one horse. \ THE PURSE ROBBERY. David Evans, who was charged yesterday with stealing a purse from Alexander Carr, was committed for trial at, the. next sitting of the Supreme Court. Mr. O'Meagher, who appeared for the accused, stated that the prisoner would reserve his defence. ' BREACH OF THE BYE-LAWS. John Craig was fined 103. and costs for allowing his horse attached to a dray, and of which he was in charge, to bolt in Thames-street yesterday. drtjnk and disorderly. Daniel Spencs was charged with being drunk in Tees-street, last evening. He was also charged with indecently exposing his person near the Commercial Hotel. The prisoner pleaded guilty to both charges. He was sentenced to three days' imprisonment on the first, and ten on the second charge.
