At a meeting of the Waste Lands Board yesterday, an application was made by Hugh Wallace for a quarry license for part of section 4S (and adjoining block III.), Oamaru. The matter was, however, referred to the Ranger to report upon. THE COUNTIES BILL. A private telegram from a reliable authority says the Counties Bill will not go beyond the second reading this Session, and that a month at the very utmost will witness the prorogation. •
