FIRE AT TOTARA.

Messrs. Anderson and Co. have handed us a letter received by them from Mr. $ M'Auly, stating that he had two stacks of oats, in the Tree Paddock, containing 1,500 and 1,600 bushels respectively, d es . troyed by fire last evening. There seenis to be very little doubt but that thi s destruction of property was the work of incendiaries, as no appearance of fire noticed five minutes before the alarm given. Fortunately there was no wind blowing at the time, otherwise the fitj would have spread to several other stacks, We are not in a position to state whethe t the loss is covered by insurance or not.
