One I year's service is remitted for all the men ! i>f the present army ; the conscripts of ! 1871 and 1572 will pass into the reserve ; | the extraordinary levy of 1874 arc disi missed to their homes ; and there will be j 110 conscription this yeai*. It is believed j that the eli'ective strength of the army will | be reduced by 300,000 men.
