[per press agency.] Christchurch, Monday. THE ELECTORAL ROLLS. Hundreds of people have been disfranchised for this year by the careless manner in wliich the Road Board officials have made up their lists under the Act of 1875. In several districts the lists have been thrown out altogether as informal.
THE FIRE BRIGADE. The City Council are about to erect a large building for the Fire Brigade, with accommodation for unmarried members of the Brigade to live on the premises, in order to facilitate the getting engmes out during the fires. -The foivndatioli-stone is to be laid by torchlight on the evening of the Queen's Birthday.
ARRIVAL OF THE ALBIOJS T . Hokitika, Monday. The Albion, from Sydney,- is now in the roadstead. She is now being tendered.
