T OOKING as though he had Just arLl rived from the Wild West, belted and spurred, with wide sombrero, Tex Hilton made a conspicuous figure m the Wellington streets on Thursday. He has arrived as the advance- guard of his combination, and from then on until the opening hour the advance guard will be busy erecting fences, hurdles and stockyards, all necessary for the Wild West Show, which is to be held at the Kilbirnie Stadium on Boxing Day. Arrangements have been made with Dalgety's stock agents to procure a large number of picked wild steers. There will be horses, mules and donkeys for the buck-jumping events; the pick of New Zealand's horsemen have sent their names as competitors for the buck-jumping riding championship. It is expected that nearly twenty horsemen will contest this event. Owners of local outlaw horses have also expressed their willingness to send them along. ' -"X__
