A meeting between the promising novice trotters has been awaited to see how r Royal Triumph will fare with Blue and Gold. Royal Triumph,- since he struck winning form, has three times made the opposition look cheap. But now the Tamahere toddler is up againsf stronger class than previously, and Blue and Gold is just the sort to bring about his undoing. In her only 'attempt this season she was unplaced, but Saturday will see her cherry ripe and extending Royal Triumph. Parrish BeWe, Wall, Tamahine and Linnet't The Great are engaged, but they may sum it up this waj' — Blue and Gold, Royal Triumph, Parrish Belle.
