Gore Contenders GoToWinton (From "N.Z. Truth's" South Island Trotting Rep.) THE Winton Trotting Club's meeting on December 30 finds most of the same horses engaged as are booked to compete at Gore on Boxing Day, and the. form at the latter meeting should offer a reliable guide to punters. The most important event, the Winton Trotting Club Handicap, finds Nelson's Victory 12yds. better placed than at Gore, where he appears to have a great show. The form of Silver Jack, Black Lion, Satin King, Erin's Boy and Nelson's Victory should be carefully watched, but prior to that form, Nelson's Victory, Black Lion and Satin King appeal. The Speedwell Handicap is the next most important event. Nelson's Victory is again better placed than he is over the same distance at Gore, for he is on equivalent to a 2.19 mark, and has already won from 2.19 m 2.15 2/5. The fprm of Nelson's Victory, Suncross, Silver Jack, Musical Chimes and Bay Admiral at Gore may offer a solution, and In the absence of Nelson's Victory the next best may be Suni cross, Silvei' Jack and Musical Chimes.
