AND SHE IS

Impetuous, but She Is Good AVRO SHOULD

(From "N.Z. Truth's" Wanganui Rep.) CUMMER TIME should win a race at '*' New Plymouth. * # * Onepai is to have a race over hurdles at the Taranaki meeting. He has shaped well m his schooling and should win a race during the holidays. * # * Jack Plane has not shown much pace on the flat, but he goes well over the sticks for a novice, 'going straight at his fences and jumping fast. He will be worth watching m moderate company. * * * Avro is m good fettle, and he should pick up some money m the hurdle races at Awapuni. * ' -* * M. Gardner is to run Danny Boy m the Maiden at Awapuni, but he is likely to be seen to better advantage over a longer distance' 'than six furlongs. * * # The racing Gueanbegan has had has improved her, and she is likely tb win a race or two if she can be kept going. *. # * Hinewai looks the best of the Wanganui horses engaged m the Maiden at Awapuni. She is steadily improving, and must be hard to beat with any luck m the running. * # * Auctioneer is to run m the nine furlongs hack race at Awapuni on Boxing Day. With H. Dulieu as pilot, he has done some schooling over the hurdles, and he gives great promise of taking to the game. * * ♦ * Korokio looks as well as she did m the early spring, and a race or two should come her way during the holidays. She is m the Nursery at Awapuni, but she has plenty of weight. * * * If Furlong has made the improvement which she is said to have done since racing at Feilding, the Acre filly will keep them all busy m the Nursery at Awapuni. • * * * The aptly-named Impetuous 'is to have her first race m the Juvenile Handicap at Marton. It was very unfortunate that the Currie filly arr rived a couple of days too *on, and consequently could not race as a two-year-old. She is going to be good. * # Pomp is to run m the sprint events at Marton. W. Rayner has him m good shape, and the son of Absurd should win a race soon if he is ever going to make good. *.# ■ # Prior to the Woodville meeting it was thought that it would probably not be until next season that All Humbug would do any good. He went better than expected there, and has done well since. * *■ # Paratoo let his friends down at Woodville, and on his showing there he can have little chance at Ellerslie. However, if W. H. Dwyer takes the gelding north, some improvement m form can be looked for. * *■' * Knollmere has been lame recently as the result of a fall, and Bill Bwyer's prospects of winning a race with this gelding during the holidays are not very bright.
