AT THE START
Lordlike Lost Chance
WAS BADLY LEFT
THERE was an inqiiiryHnto Uie running of Lordlike the , second day at Woodville, but after hearing the evidence of owner Tom Quin-livan and rider Jack Barry, no action was taken. The first day Lordllke was a. bit unlucky m running, though his jockey said he wasn't, and many thought he would come home m his next outing. Thosewho played their cash that way gave up the ghost when_the barrier was lifted. ? Lordlike had gone out of the line and then when he was coming back the tapes went up with him standing back. ' Drawn on the inner, he had two shows of getting a position, and when they went out of the straight he was last. He made a. move up the back, but his jockey was anything but comfortable on him, and with half a mile to go, those with tickets on him had torn them up. Then came the inquiry, and that no action was taken is not surprising.
