HAS OPTION
Chromadyne May Be Sold
WORKING WELL
(From "N.Z. Truth's" Auckland Rep.) THE reason why Chromadyne was not *■ saddled up at Waipa is that he ia under offer at a fair 'figure. It is understood the prospective purchaser has the option to buy right up to the time when Chromadyne is set to contest the Railway. Under the circumstances, Dick Hannon can hardly be blamed for not running any risks last Saturday. There was the risk of a penalty if he won, besides the possible chance of accident, and the Cambridge owner has had some unfortunate experiences m losing good horses while racing. However, word from Cambridge is to the effect that Chromadyne is O.K. and ready to show of his best on Boxing Day. ' If all that is being broadcast is correct, the Hannon sprinter is doing his work "on his head," for. there are reports of phenomenal gallops. If he can produce one of these gallops on Boxing Day, the rest of the field will need a- start to have a show with the freak. .
