ACROSS THE STRAIT Boxing Day excursionists to Picton and Blenheim this year will have the 4 500 -ton fen-y steamer Wahine for the run .across the Strait. She will leave Wellington at 8 a.m„ and the trip to Picton should take about two and three-quarter hours, more than half of this time being inside the Heads at either end. The Railway Department is arranging a special train to leave Picton for Blenheim after the Wanine's arrival, returning again to the wharf before she leaves.
