Vendome Is In At Ashburton

' THE appearance of the handicaps for the Ashburton Trotting Cup, to be held on Boxing Day, finely a good class field, with only 36 yards between the limit and the back horses. Ces. Donald appears to hold a strong hand m the event with Morning Sun, Sunny Bob and Lindbergh engaged. The latter especfaHy is likely to find favor if fit and well on the day, but on the same mark is Neeoro with his fast two-mile record, and on thirty-six is Erin's Fortune, a winner at Forbury, and Vendome. As Vendome ran a good second to Harold Logan at the last meeting at the Met., there is every reason to expect that she will find this company to her liking.
