OF THE BEST

Harold Logan Enters

"Company"

(From "N.Z. Truth's" South Island Trotting Rep.) ALTHOUGH Harold Logan has won ** race after race with monotonous regularity, his win m the Courtenay Handicap, on the second day of the Cup meeting, marked his first win among the very best class, and gives him undisputed right to be ranked as one of the first half dozen m the country. He simply walked m and recorded 4.22 4/5 for the two miles. The form shown by Vendome to finish second to Harold Logan was really good, as' Vendome was allowed to drift m the early stages and finished very fast. Carmel finished third and registered 4.24 2/5, but was very tired at the finish. Erin's Fortune was m all the trouble going and never paced right, yet she was m the firing line m the straight when she broke up and fell. Erin's Fortune is evidently above the average when right. f y ■
