' ' CINCB the New Zealand Sapling Stakes the two-year-oid colt, Royal Chenault, has been a cot case due to a mishap that occurred just prior to. the race. While his connections knew that his chance of winning the Sapling Stakes was impaired by the iniur'v the ™'t had received, it. was decided to give him his chance of annexing tho i» •"•» riband, a trophy the colt's owner, T. Butcher, was keen to win. Royal Chenault was much affected by the race, and though he is making improvement, it is so gradual that it looks as though it will be several weeks before he is able to resume work*
