Crashes At First
AFTER two victories over fences at , Feilding, Opa went north to Avondale with a big reputation as a hurdler, but the son of Halfowmas failed to negotiate the first obstacle safely, and he and' punters crashed heavily. The fences up north are not easy and have to be cleared, though Opa can hardly be adjudged an indifferent fencer on that one crash at Avondale. ' One with the' • pace shown while flat racing should make good as a hurdler with more experience.
