DESCRIBED as a motor - satesman, employed at St. Neots, Thomas Edward Owen admitted at Grimsby Police Court that he had failed to provide reasonable maintenance for his wife, Lillian Mary Owen, of Louth Road, Scarthoe. The wife said, they were married m Wellington, New Zealand, m 1925, and her husband returned to England m December, 1927. She had followed two months later. Up to Easter they lived apart, through defendant's work taking him away, but they were quite friendly, and corresponded. She lost trace of him at Doncaster last Easter, but subsequently, found . . him, and they lived together .until September. They quarrelled, and he promised to allow her £1 a week, but he never paid.
