*THE evening gowns of 1917 were the most graceful creations m the history of style, contends Travis Banton, creator^ of Paramount's fashions. Three evening gowns of the 1917 type were recently made for Jean Arthur. These gowns were designed with natural waistlines, long skirts caught into intricate Grecian draperies and subtle decolletage.
