Radio For Maori Boy
"TRUTH'S" story m last issue of 1 little Freddy Hill, the crippled Maori boy, whose life was transformed by radio, ha.s struck a responsive chord m the hearts of some of our readers. "A Boy Friend" writes: —"My • mother and father have been telling me about little Freddy Hill. It would be lovely if Freddy could have a wireless set of his very own. I am sending you 2s. 6d. out of my money-box. Perhaps there are many other little boys and girls who would like to send you some money, too. I wonder if Uncle Toby would ask my radio cousins to help?" In another letter, signed "Cornubia," a Wellington reader de- ■ dares "Freddy must have a radio," and he offers to contribute to a subscription list to enable a set to be purchased. W. Doubleday (Christchurch) has contributed £1. . From Lyall Bay "Easter Gift" sends 2s. 6d. The contributions have been'forwarded to. Uncle Toby at 2YA.
